Many years ago when I was working on the set of Nash Bridges, I had the good fortune of getting to know Cheech Marin. At the time, he was working on pitching his memoir, and he asked me to do some cartoons to illustrate some memorable moments in his career. These are about half of the original set.
These are the pages from an ashcan I illustrated as a proof of concept – and demonstration of my capabilities – for the PC game Space Bunnies Must Die! I proved my skills and got the assignment to co-write and illustrate the comic book based on the original concept. Eventually, the producers went in a decidedly different–albeit better–direction with the game, and Dark Horse Comics came in to produce the comic-style booklet that shipped with the game. I was later brought in to storyboard and illustrate the two movies that bookend the game, and that was a ton of fun!
